The BRAG Youth Advocates is a group of young people aged 15 - 25 who meet at BRAG to discuss and develop ways of connecting young people with their regional art gallery. The group was formed in February 2021 and participate in gallery social media campaigns, artist-led workshops, developing ideas for grant applications, and the Bathurst Youth Art Prize 2022. The BRAG Youth Advocates provide valuable input for how BRAG can better connect with local young people.

Activities initiated and developed by the BRAG Youth Advocates include the Bathurst Youth Prize, which was held in March 2022. The Youth Advocates participated in this by being provided with opportunities to engage the media to promote the art prize, participate in judging the art prize, and support the delivery of the event.

The BRAG Youth Advocates have also participated in a studio visit and workshop with local artist Harrie Fasher, heard artist talks by Genevieve Carroll and Aberline Goldberg Studio, and participated in a photography workshop.
