What better way to celebrate 100 years than with a glass of bubbles? Join local winemaker Sam Renzaglia as he explores sparkling wines from different regions.

Thursday 16 February @ 6pm: Workshop - Life Drawing with Tim Miller
Immerse yourself in a 2 hour Introduction to Life Drawing workshop with local artist Tim Miller. Surrounded by portraits from past winners and finalists of the prize, you will learn the basics of life drawing from a model.

Join author Peter Edwell as he discusses his book about the controversy surrounding William Dobell's win in 1943 with his portrait of Joshua Smith.

Join us for a fabulous night at BRAG in the Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize exhibition to celebrate World Pride 2023! This exclusive event will feature a tour of the exhibition by drag queen Betty Confetti, followed by a meet and greet with sparkling wine and nibbles.

With these four words, every year the Archibald Prize captures the country’s imagination. For a century, audiences have flocked to see Australia’s longest running, most prestigious – and certainly most controversial – portrait prize.

The Archibald Prize celebrated its 100th birthday in 2021 and the Art Gallery of NSW is trying to locate paintings that have been in the Archibald since its inception in 1921 to enhance our online archive.
